Established in November 1998, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company (ADDC) is responsible for distributing high quality water and electricity services to all customers in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, excluding the Al Ain region. ADDC’s core business is the planning, design, construction, and operation of the Abu Dhabi water and electricity distribution network. 



Job Title: Retail Commercial Manager

Job Requirements:
  • Excellent Project Management, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good grounding in the technical issues associated with the utility retail sector
  • Experience in customer services within a utility company is mandatory
  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Customer Services or related fields.
  • Minimum 15 years experience in a utility with specialist experience. Knowledge and experience in the systems, SLA's.
  • Previous work experience within a Middle Eastern Country would be an advantage
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Make the required changes to the company procedures, policies, practices and systems to provide for other retail services.
  • Change and project management for the initiatives that are required to deliver a successful retail commercial areas.
  • To recommend and implement changes in the Oracle based Customer Care and Billing System (CC&E)
  • Develop SLA that document the obligations, interactions and responsibilities of the other entitles.


Job Title: Head of Risk Management Section

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor in Engineering, Risk Management or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years experience at a risk manager in a utility company.
  • Excellent Knowledge in English and / or Arabic languages read and write.
  • PC Literate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Be Responsible for ensuring the statutory and regulatory risk management is clearly assigned in each business department / division and that this is effectively and efficiently implemented.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of legislative and regulatory requirements in the area of risk control and emergency planning to establish and maintain processes to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure that the development, documentation and maintenance of the business and operational contingency plans are effective. To ensure they are exercised, meet compliance standards and meet the changing needs of the business
  • Represent the company in liaison with external organisations on local, regional and national risk management and emergency planning issues.
  • Ensure training is delivered to Senior Managers and and Directors in Incident Management and ensure that there are enough suitably trained managers at all times to meet requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance to the Incident Manager during ongoing incidents.


Job Title: Senior GIS Engineer

Job Requirements:
  • B.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years experience in the electricity and or water authority.
  • English and preferred with Arabic
  • PC Literate, Certified and Extensive knowledge in GIS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the GIS databases.
  • Identify, collect and Co-ordinate new or revised asset data requirements.
  • Asses users needs and analyse requirements to enhance system functionalities.
  • Ensure the protection of the integrity of the asset data stock and identify new or revised requirements.
  • Work on the interface between GIS and other systems to enhance data integrity and business processes.
  • Develop and implement a set of standards and specifications for the collection and maintenance of asset data. Monitoring and occasional sampling of the overall level of data return and accuracy against the actual work carried out.
  • Provide Technical support on GIS to automate and capture the distribution network in to the system effectively.
  • Perform frequent testing and diagnosing checks when necessary on GIS data base and its Applications.
  • Trace network feeders, pipes, cables and overhead lines and generate discrepancy reports


Job Title: Contracts Engineer

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • 6 years experience in technical contracts, preferably within the utilities industry.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good Knowledge of written and spoken in English, Arabic an advantage.
  • Good Knowledge of computer software e.g. (MS Office and Maximo)
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Pre-qualification of bidders.
  • Develop tender documents for tenders issued directly by ADDC.
  • Draft Contract Documents, Interpret Contractual Obligations & Assist in the Administration of approved contracts.
  • Prepare for Commercial Bid evaluations.
  • Evaluate Claims and variation requests and insurance administration, within projects in collaboration with finance and legal Departments.
  • Attending meetings to negotiate with the users / contractors to finalize issues related to the contract requests.


Job Title: GIS Editor

  • Job Requirements:
  • Diploma in GIS, IT or equivalent
  • 4 years experience as a GIS Copy Editor in an electricity and or water authority
  • Good Knowledge in English and / or Arabic Languages read & Write
  • PC Literate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Compile and Convert project drawings into the GIS.
  • Match various databases and report about any mismatch.
  • Corrects and updates attributes and features resulting from QA/QC checks on Decentralized Editing works by other Editors.
  • Compare contractors's shop and as Built drawings while converting for any land base data mismatch.
  • Preparation of Auto Cad schemes,GIS single line drawings.work in different data formats : Excel worksheets, access data bases.
  • Update the GIS sing line drawings.
  • Testing and diagnosing checks on new and / or modified existing editing tools.
